ATLSECCON 2026 has ended

Think privacy is somebody else's problem? Many dev teams assume it lives safely in the hands of Security or Legal while they're busy shipping features. Trouble is, these obligations that Legal and Sales add into contracts directly affect dev, and you've likely never seen them!

Baking privacy considerations into each development stage of Governance, Design, Implementation, Verification, and Operations, means fewer 'oh crap' moments when users exercise their data rights, fewer frantic rewrites when you scale, and significantly less explaining to do when an incident happens.

In this workshop, we'll transform privacy from "that compliance thing" into practical, actionable development practices that save you from 2 AM emergency fixes and expensive rewrites. We'll work through critical examples of your must-have features and how to bake them into your codebase from the get go, or how to retrofit according to your need.

Attendees will leave with:

- A privacy-by-design framework that fits your existing workflows (not some theoretical ivory tower nonsense)
- Concrete techniques to surface hidden privacy requirements before they bite you
- Strategies to shift privacy left without adding weeks to your sprints
- Practical responses to common user data requests that won't require emergency architecture changes
- Real world scenarios and 'war stories' about how privacy directly affects dev teams
